For those that thought Pakistan was our ally how about this?:

Hundreds of enraged Pakistanis took to the streets across the country Sunday, burning an effigy of President Barack Obama and setting fire to US flags after 24 soldiers died in NATO air strikes.

The rallies were organised by opposition and right-wing Islamist groups in major cities of the nuclear-armed country of 167 million people, where opposition to the government’s US alliance is rampant.

In Karachi, the port city used by the United States to ship supplies to troops fighting in Afghanistan, more than 700 people gathered outside the US consulate, an AFP photographer said.

They shouted: “down with America, stay away Americans, Pakistan is ours, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our army”, while Pakistani riot police were deployed near the consulate.

Outside the press club in Karachi, dozens of political activists burnt an effigy of President Obama, an AFP photographer added.

In the central city of Multan, more than 300 activists loyal to the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, as well as local traders took to the streets, burning US and NATO flags.

They carried placards and banners, and shouted: “down with America,” “down with NATO,” “Yankees go back”, “vacate Afghanistan and Pakistan” and “stop drone attacks” — a reference to a CIA drone war against Islamist militants.

Speaking at the rally, opposition lawmaker Javed Hashmi demanded that the government end its alliance in the US-led “war on terror”.

In Islamabad, at least 200 activists of the radical Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) party held a rally in the middle-class I-10 neighbourhood.

“We strongly condemn the attack and the killing of our soldiers,” local JI chief Mian Aslam told the rally in reference to the air strike early Saturday, as protestors chanted “Pakistan is America’s graveyard.”

Pakistan has reacted with fury over the killings, and has called the attack by NATO helicopters and fighter jets on two military posts close to the Afghan border “unprovoked”.

In response, Islamabad has sealed its Afghan border to NATO supply convoys and is reviewing its alliance with the United States and NATO, mulling whether to boycott a key international conference on Afghanistan next month.

OBAMA just stop it already! Once again Obama is trying to interfere with a States rights and laws. On top of that he is more worried over a CONVICTED murder because he is an illegal alien and he is desperately needing votes. Obama is wanting to ONCE again undermined America this time he wants to undermined the justice system. If you think Obama is doing this because he is concerned over detained Americans in foreign lands then you are still naive as when you voted for him in 2008.

Leal, 38, was convicted in 1994 of the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in San Antonio. Few question that he was responsible for the killing but the Texas authorities failed to tell Leal, who was born in Mexico and has lived in the US since the age of two, that under the Vienna convention he was entitled to contact the Mexican consulate when he was arrested.

Really? Let’s see how our almighty President Obama handles this one…He will probably fly down to Mexico and bow down before them and apologize for America….

A convoy of three military trucks loaded with Mexican soldiers crosses the border at Bridge Number Two clearly violating international law.

It happens as Customs and Border Protection inspectors try to figure out what to do.

A CBP spokesperson says they got on the phone with Mexican authorities after being alerted that the military trucks were heading their direction loaded down with soldiers and weapons.

Mexican leaders say the soldiers, who had just been deployed to Nuevo Laredo, didn’t know the area, got lost and then made their way through Bridge Two.

It’s important to note that CBP did not tell us about the potentially serious situation. It came from another law enforcement agency.

Some callers to our newsroom were upset inspectors allowed the Mexican military to get so close to all those inspection booths over at Bridge Number Two.

Some noted had it been Mexican drug lords they could have taken inspectors by surprise and easily crossed the international border deeper into the United States.

I find it interesting that the United States Congress is going to take the “Libya” issue to another branch of Government. Both Democrats and Republicans met in a Bipartisan group to sue Obama over his misuse of the American military in attacking Libya just because NATO said it was ok to attack Libya, does not mean they have the “say so” to go in and attack a sovereign nation.

“With regard to the war in Libya, we believe that the law was violated. We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” said Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who led the 10-member anti-war coalition with Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.)

Obama has made a huge mess outta the middle east, we are on the verge of sending our troops there. That is the way it is looking and if that happens then Obama’s re-election bid will go down the toilet. Now you have to be a complete idiot to think we do not have the CIA over there helping the “rebels” who in turn want to see every American citizens head chopped off. This is exactly what happen in Iraq/Afghanistan during Carters Presidency. Look what happen there, we trained Al Qaeda who in turn uses that training to blow up the Twin Towers. So we train these idiots they then turn in 10-20yrs and attack us killing us. Please tell me what sense this makes?

The house of Representatives just passed Speaker Boehner‘s resolution accusing the president of failing to provide ‘compelling rationale’ for mission in Libya and rebuking Obama for lacking congressional approval.

The very same thing Obama condemned Bush over he is now doing. More Liberal double standardism….

In a split decision Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled federal law does not preempt an Arizona measure that punishes employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants. Jeffrey Brown discusses the measure, which could strip businesses of licenses if they’re caught hiring illegal workers, with The National Law Journal‘s Marcia Coyle.
