I find the fact that Mrs. Obama out on the campaign trail very fascinating. I mean what does she have to offer, besides how to bake cookies and cakes? Mrs. Obama is no Hillary Clinton. When Hillary Clinton was 1st lady she was in China advocating for women rights…MORE desperation Panic from the Democrats……

First Lady Hits Campaign Trail

WASHINGTON – Michelle Obama, the first lady, will make her 2010 campaign debut in Milwaukee on Wednesday with a pitch for Americans to vote for Democrats as the party of families and children.

“You see, more than anything else, I come at this as a mom,” Mrs. Obama will say, according to excerpts of her campaign speech released by the White House. “When I think about the issues facing our nation, I think about what it means for my girls, and I think about what it means for the world we’re leaving for them and for all our children. As I travel around this country, and look into the eyes of every single child I meet, I see what’s at stake.”

Mrs. Obama will headline three Democratic fund-raisers on Wednesday, the first time she has campaigned for the party since her husband’s presidential run. She will begin in Milwaukee with an appearance for Senator Russell D. Feingold and then travel to Chicago for two more events – one for Alexi Giannoulis, the Democratic Senate candidate, and the other for Representative Dan Seals, Representative Debbie Halvorson and Bill Foster, a Democratic House candidate. On Sunday, Mrs. Obama will make her first joint campaign appearance with President Obama when they travel to Cleveland to raise money for Gov. Ted Strickland’s reelection campaign.

“This isn’t something I do very often,” Mrs. Obama says in the excerpts. “In fact, I haven’t really done it since a little campaign you might remember a couple of years ago. As a self-described mom-in-chief, my first priority in the White House has been making sure that my girls are happy and healthy and adjusting to this new life. Like every parent I know, my children are the center of my world. My hopes for their future are at the heart of every single thing I do. And that’s really why I’m here today.”

Between now and Election Day, Mrs. Obama will pursue a limited campaign schedule that is focused on giving a boost to selected Democrats, and especially female candidates. She will be in Colorado on Thursday for Senator Michael Bennet and in Stamford, Conn., on Monday for Richard Blumenthal, the Senate candidate there. She will also appear for Senators Barbara Boxer, Democrat of California, and Patty Murray, Democrat of Washington.

She will use her remarks to spotlight her own agenda, including her work fighting childhood obesity and supporting military families. And, without attacking Republicans, she will make the case that the election will have consequences for working families.

“I see it in the child whose mom has just lost her job and worries about how her family will pay the bills,” Mrs. Obama says. “I see it in the child whose dad has just been deployed and tries so hard to be brave for his younger siblings. I see it in the child stuck in a crumbling school, who looks around and wonders, ‘What does this mean for my future?’ ”
